How we verify knife store listings

Every public listing must:

Have status verified in our dataset
Show evidence that the retailer sells knives (product/category page or equivalent proof URL)
Use consistent address, phone, and store-type fields when available

We do not invent addresses, phones, hours, or coordinates. Map pins appear only when lat/lng were captured in the source data. ZIP and city centroids (US Census Gazetteer) are used only to sort “near me” search results — never as fake store pins.

Online dealers that ship are listed on a separate page as links and are never map pins.
